In 1957: beginning of the barytes production in the Dreislar Mine in the Sauerland.

In 1970: integration of the Sachtleben AG into the Metallgesellschaft AG Group, later called mg technologies ag, now: GEA Group.

In 1990 and 2004: acquisition of 25% and 50% of the shares in the Deutsche Baryt- Industry, Bad Lauterberg.

In 2002: foundation of Sachtleben Bergbau GmbH by way of a management-buy-out.

In 2009: change of corporate name to Sachtleben Bergbau GmbH & Co. KG

In 2010: relocation of head office from Lennestadt to Hausach
